Frequently Asked Questions:

What is the difference between a Business Coach and a Life Coach?

As a business coach, I help clients work through business, professional and career issues. Of course, ‘life’ is part of it, especially when trying to achieve work-life balance. However, the critical issues with my clients begin in the areas of business or career. The changes my clients make in their business life benefit their lifestyle.

My approach is more pragmatic than ‘feel good.’ As a business coach, I am focused on a plan and getting you results as quickly as you are ready.

What are some typical issues you encounter in your Business Coach practice?

  1. Midlife “what am I going to do now” syndrome. Working with BiZZantik proprietary tools, I help my clients figure out the next stage of their professional life –whether it’s due to a planned change or an unplanned one (layoff).
  2. Midlife Reinvention. Now you know what you want to do, but how do you get there? How do you put all the pieces in place? How do I reinvent myself?
  3. Doing the same things and getting the same results. Do you have a tough time getting organized? Do you have difficulty focusing? I never have enough time in the day!
  4. Fitting a square peg into a round hole. Are you an operations or technical person, but responsible for sales? Or, perhaps you’re a fabulous sales and marketing person, but your operations are out of control. This is typical of many business owners — you’re an expert at your product or service, but critical tasks fall through the cracks.
  5. Finding a true work life balance. I’m overweight, out of shape and my family is mad at me because I spend all my time working.
  6. Learning how to do more than get along. How do I improve my interactions with my boss and colleagues?

What makes you a good Business Coach?

Unlike many coaches, I have real world business experience. Having created and run several businesses, I know what my clients are experiencing. I know the stress of having to meet a million dollar payroll or developing business in a down market. I am goal oriented, which is an integral part of my practice to get you results.

What is the process to work with you?

First, we have a free consultation. During this call we determine what results you want to achieve from your coaching experience. You’ll get a good sense of how I work. It’s also the time we establish rapport and see if it’s a good fit for both of us. A good fit between the Coach and Coachee is of paramount importance.

Second, we determine which coaching plan will work best to achieve your results in the quickest amount of time.

How does the process work?

My client meetings are held over the phone and normally last for one hour. The great thing about the phone is that you don’t have to leave your office or home to meet. It also enables me to work with clients all over the globe.

Getting coached is not easy. I ask lots of questions and have you look at areas of your business and life that are uncomfortable. If you’re not feeling uncomfortable during part of the process then either I’m not doing my job or you aren’t ready for change.

There is homework! I’ll hold you accountable to the things you say you want to do and accomplish.

How long will it take to get results?

That depends on you. Do you show up to planned meetings? Do you complete your coaching assignments? You are an integral part of getting to results. I can guide you there, but in the end, you will make it happen.

If you’re ready for change, then contact me now, so we can set up our consultation.
